Kylian Mbappe struck twice within three minutes as Real Madrid secured a 4-1 victory over Levante on Tuesday night, marking their sixth straight win in La Liga. Vinicius Junior also returned to scoring form, netting his third goal after three matches, helping Xabi Alonso’s side strengthen their lead at the top of the table early in the season.
The standout performer was French star Mbappe, who opened his account with a stylish Panenka penalty in the 64th minute, then doubled his tally just two minutes later by calmly slotting the ball into an empty net. This was his ninth goal in seven appearances this season for Madrid.
Real Madrid vs Levante: Mbappe’s Double Secures

Argentine teenage sensation Franco Mastantuyano made a notable impact by scoring his first goal for the club with a brilliant strike in the 38th minute. Earlier, Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior had put Madrid ahead in the 28th minute with a superb shot from the right side of the box, ending his goalless streak after three games despite some frustration over coach Alonso’s recent lineup changes.
Levante showed some resistance by pulling a goal back in the 54th minute through a headed finish by Etta Iyong, but they couldn’t manage to shift the momentum.
The win places Real Madrid firmly atop the league with 18 points, five points clear of second-place Barcelona, who are set to play newly promoted Oviedo on Thursday. Levante, also promoted this season, remain without a win in their first five matches after previously suffering a 4-0 defeat to Girona.
