Juventus vs Borussia Dortmund, 4-4

Interestingly, the first half ended goalless despite the high-scoring final result. Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute with a left-footed strike. Juventus responded in the 63rd minute through Kenan Yildiz, only for Dortmund’s Felix Nmecha to restore their lead less than a minute later, assisted by Adeyemi.
The back-and-forth continued as Vlahovic leveled the score again in the 67th minute, assisted by Yildiz. Dortmund struck back through Ian Couto in the 74th minute and then increased their lead to 4-2 after Remi Bensebaini converted a penalty following a Lloyd Kelly handball in the 86th minute.
However, Juventus fought back fiercely in stoppage time. In the 93rd minute, Vlahovic scored a direct finish from Pierre Kalulu’s cross to reduce the deficit, and then Kelly completed the comeback with a goal from a right-footed cross in the 96th minute, securing the Juventus vs Borussia Dortmund 4-4 draw.
In this season’s new Champions League format, the top eight teams from the group stage will advance directly to the round of 16, while the next 16 will enter a two-legged playoff for the remaining spots in the knockout stage.
